Description: Blake was a human who served as a Lieutenant in the Galactic Empire. Stern, haughty, and proud, Blake's sudden appearance on the then-independent planet of Janix during early Imperial Era heralded the start of a strict Imperial presence. He took over police operations from the Tactical Defense Force, overseeing a lock down of Janix city as an Imperial hunter of Force-sensitives, the Inquisitor First Brother, pursued the renegade former Sith-turned-crime lord Maul, whose presence had prompted the ascendant galactic government's arrival.
Biography
Blake was a human who held the military rank of Lieutenant in the Galactic Empire by sometime between 17 BBY and around 13 BBY. After 2B0T, the police droid partner of Janix Tactical Defense Force Captain Brander Lawson, ignored his superior's repeated orders and followed protocol by reporting the presence of the renegade former Sith crime lord Maul on Janix to the Empire, Blake was dispatched to take over operations on the planet. Lieutenant Blake landed planetside in a Rho-class transport shuttle, watching with his hands behind his back as ranks of TK stormtroopers disembarked. He then went to the Janix Civil Defense HQ, accompanied by several of the troopers and an IMG-099 Imperial Mark IV patrol droid, and demanded to speak to the organization's Chief Klyce. After informing her of his identity, he admonished the Chief for not reporting Maul's presence, announced he was taking over, and sent her away to be interrogated. Before following after Klyce, he warned Lawson not to leave.
After Klyce was uncooperative, Blake summoned Lawson to speak with, having TK troopers escort the captain. As he was reviewing Janix Civil Defense's evidence board for the Maul case, Blake advised Lawson be more forthcoming than his boss during his upcoming interrogation. Later, when Lawson's son Rylee came to the Police HQ looking for his father, and 2B0T was escorting him back out, Blake came across the pair and scornfully admonished the droid for having let the adolescent civilian in. Blake later released Lawson after the Inquisitor First Brother, an Imperial hunter of Force-sensitives, was finished interrogating him, sardonically thanking him for cooperating.
Later, after Lawson and Rylee where found harboring the Jedi fugitives Devon Izara and Eeko-Dio Daki in their apartment by First Brother, Blake told 2B0T and Tactical Defense Force Officer Reb that their superior was now wanted for treason, and that use of deadly force had been authorized. Blake then scoffed when he saw the Tactical Defense Droid before him was wearing boots, telling him to get rid of the non-standard-issue items.
After several LAAT gunships arrived at Maul's new safe house, Blake informs the Inquisitor, the First Brother that their troops have engaged with the fugitives in Sector Two-X, as a Phi-class shuttle arrives and lands in front of the police headquarters, where a hooded Inquisitor, known as the Eleventh Brother walks out through the gangplank.
After several TK stormtroopers manage to capture Rylee Lawson and two of them brought him to the police headquarters, Blake finds him talking to Two-Boots and interrupts their conversation, ordering Two-Boots to return to his station and grabbing his mug. Despite Two-Boots assuring Rylee is a close acquaintance, Blake that Rylee was caught help some Imperial fugitives, which Two-Boots express disappointment in Rylee. Blake then orders the troopers to take Rylee a holding cell, which Two-Boots protests due to it being against protocol but Blake threatens the police droid to wipe his memory and and reprogram him. Rylee convinces Two-Boots to cooperate with Blake before being led away to the detention block.
Blake transfers Rylee to an interrogation room. Rylee tells him that he told him everything but the Lieutenant doesn't believe him and says that if he doesn't believe him then neither will the Inquisitor, but wishes him luck before closing the doors. On the other side the Eleventh Brother enters the interrogation room and interrogates Rylee, despite his honesty. As the Eleventh Brother interrogates Rylee, Blake informs a trooper via to a comlink to keeps troopers in position and he is bringing more on his way, passing by Two-Boots, whom later learns from Officer Wade that Blake had Chief Klyce killed.
After Two-Boots breaks Rylee out, the two join his father and two Jedi to an abandoned warehouse to meet with one of his informants Rheena Sul. Unknown to the group, the Empire found her first and forced her to betray Lawson. While heading down a turbolift, Devon Izara sensed something was up, which Lawson contated Sul and she nervously warned him the transport will take them to Catalor, which tipped the group that the Empire her first. Since the controls were override to not stop, Izara and her Jedi Master Eeko-Dio Daki cut a hole to escape. Upon the lift stopping, the Inquisitors noticed it was empty, which Blake asked where are they, but Sul quickly attacked a nearby TK trooper, and stole a DC-15A blaster carbine, attacking more troopers before aiming at Blake but instead shot the transport's engines, which cause the ship to explode, killing Blake and the troopers, while Sul hid behind a nearby crate and the Inquisitors ultimately survived.
