Biography
Life on Janix
Rylee Lawson was a human male who lived on the planet Janix during the early Imperial Era. He was the son of Janix Civil Defense captain Brander Lawson and the Galactic Empire employee Drea Lawson. Rylee was both a fan and a proficient player of the sport botekin as well as shockball.

With Brander often working long hours at the police station, Rylee was frequently alone at the family apartment while his mother was away due to her Imperial obligations. At one point, Drea asked Rylee to come visit her. Rylee broached the subject with Brander after he returned late from work one evening, but Brander said that he needed to wait for them to be able to go together. Brander had to quickly return to work, which disappointed Rylee.

Meeting Jedi
A short time later, when the fugitive Jedi Eeko-Dio Daki and Devon Izara showed up at their door, Rylee, who was alone at home, spoke to them and permitted them to enter after they explained they were connected to Brander. Rylee allowed them to sit in the kitchen, and when Brander returned from work, he was distressed to see the two, recognizing them from their involvement in an ongoing police case. Rylee did not know about their significance, and when Brander requested he and Izara leave the room so he could speak with Daki, Izara rolled her eyes and told Rylee to follow him so that the "adults" could talk. Rylee was told by his father to keep an eye on Izara in case she tried to steal anything.

As the two adolescents entered Rylee's room, he frantically cleaned his room while Izara looked around. When she asked him about his family, Rylee told her that his parents were split up and that he had remained on Janix due to his schooling and his botekin team. Izara had never heard of botekin, causing Rylee to chuckle and say that she must not be a local, as it was a very popular sport on Janix. Izara stated that their childhoods were very different.

Rylee Lawson was an independent person due to the fact that his separated parents were often busy with their work. Juggling both athletics and his personal life, Rylee was still a hopeful person. As an avid fan and player of botekin, Rylee's bedroom was pennants and sports memorabilia.
