Description: Barro was a human warlord of the fallen Galactic Empire and a member of the Shadow Council for the Imperial Remnant during the New Republic Era, holding the rank of commander and leading his own Imperial forces from a snowy planet.
In 9 ABY, he participated in a meeting of the council. Years later, Barro met with a group of local leaders, during which he was assassinated by the Mandalorian New Republic contractor Din Djarin.
Biography
After the fall of the Galactic Empire, Barro was a warlord leading one of the neo-Imperialist remnants active in the New Republic Era. He held a seat in the Shadow Council, a group of Imperial officers who secretly coordinated their remnants while concealling their true strength.
In 9 ABY, Barro attended a meeting of the Shadow Council via hologram. During the meeting, a warlord on the council stated their belief that citizens loyal to the Empire were present on every planet in the galaxy and had grown weary of the New Republic and its rules and regulations, to which Barro responded with his belief that by performing a show of strength, they would rally the loyalists behind them. However, Captain Gilad Pellaeon replied that such strength should not be wasted and reminded the council that Grand Admiral Thrawn's planned return would herald in a resurgence of their military and give Commandant Brendol Hux enough time to deliver on Project Necromancer. Later in the meeting, Barro joined his colleagues on the Shadow Council in chanting "Long live the Empire."
During or after 11 ABY, he met in person with a group of local leaders at a room guarded by cold weather assault troopers located in a mountainous and snowy location, during which he compelled them to praise imperial rule by chanting the phrase "Long live the Empire." Barro informed them of his decision to raise the tribute they owed him, which caused alien Prefect Nobah to object since they were already operating at a loss and were plagued by pirates and thieves. Barro took this as a criticism of his protection and shot Nobah dead with his blaster. Upon learning that the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin was attacking, he quickly gave the other five blaster pistols before leaving in a turbolift, but the leaders directed the Mandalorian to the turbolift where several snowtroopers open fire and Djarin killed them with a grav charge. After a warning from Commander Fremmet, he ordered his two AT-AT pilots fight the Mandalorian outside the hatch and ordered his vehicle commander to set the walker to autopilot and activated the explosives. When Djarin came in he open the inside hatch and found Barro escaping in an escape pod. He was killed by Djarin, who shot down his INT-4 Interceptor after hijacking his All Terrain Armored Transport before it was blown up with bombs Barro had planted prior to his failed escape.
Personality and traits
Barro was a tan-skinned human with white hair that was graying by the time of the New Republic Era. He was very eager to murder Nobah for refusing to accept Barro's new higher price for continued protection. Despite his self-proclaimed strength, he was rather cowardly, abandoning his snowtroopers and the locals to flee in a turbolift when Din Djarin raided his base.
Equipment
Barro wore a dark grey Imperial officer's uniform with a belt and a rank insignia plaque on his breast with two red tiles on the plaque's top row and two blue tiles on the plaque's bottom row. In addition, the warlord wore a black jacket that held tan fur inside.
While attending a meeting of the Shadow Council, Barro wore black gloves and a Imperial kepi that both matched his officer's uniform and held an officer's disk. However, during a later in-person meeting, Barro did not wear the gloves and kepi. At times, he wielded an SE-14r light repeating blaster.
