Lumnar PSU-3 Shield Generator

The PSU-2 was developed but in the end was determined to have a critical
flaw that could result in a catstrophe in lawsuits agaisnt lumnar. The
PSU-2 was supsoed to give a full 2 minutes of protection time and half
again as much protective strength. It had turned out, however, that if
a disruptor blast struck the field it would create a subatmocic
explosion destroying an area equal to two city blocks. the project was
scrapped. lumnar realzied it eneded to take smaller steps rather than
giant bounds. The PSU-3 was eventualy designed with more energy
efficency in it, using the same pwoerpacks but getting an extra 10
seconds into the protection time.
