Palan

Palan is an uninhabited world that lays in the out-skirts of the Palvar
Sector. Kashan Systems took notice of the planet due to the massive amount
of natural resources located kilometers below the surface. Unfortunately for
Kashan Systems, an out of sector corporation, MetaCorp, had heard rumors of
the resources on Palan and claimed it as theirs. Aarlis Nacirem, owner of
Kashan Systems and commanding officer of the Palvar Defense Force, cited
this to be an invasion of the Palvar Sector and a threat to its sovereignty,
immediately deploying a military force to the planet.

The "Battle of Palan" has been raging on for nearly four years now with both
sides heavily entrenched in fortified locations. During the course of the
four years only a few hundred meters of land have been gained or lost by
either side, making it pretty much a stalemate.
