Why Strength based damage? I would have thought it might be closer to a lightsaber, having its own damage. Or rather, I guess I made the assumption in my head that energy based melee weapons would be like that, like if the energy did the damage, and "pushing" the weapon didn't seem to matter. Or maybe a chainsaw would be a good reference, as it powers and moves itself, but performs better when applying pressure with it against a surface to be cut?
