Description: A life-jet was a small harness that was traditionally worn as a vest. Equipped with a small repulsorlift engine, it enabled the wearer to traverse small distances within an atmospheric environment. Life-jets were routinely deployed in emergency glass cases along the perimeter of Cloud City on the gas giant world of Bespin. They were useful should anyone ever fall off the edge of any of the suspended platforms.

Three years after the Battle of Yavin, the cyborg known as Lobot was required to use a life-jet in order to save his friend, Lando Calrissian, who had been kicked off the city’s edge by the Imperial administrator, Captain Hugo Treece.
