Would Scholar (Rancor) and/or Scholar (Animal Training), or something simlar as a separate skill, be a fitting skill for him as well?

It's always been a lacking in the rules for an "Animal Handling" skill, so I've always just gone with Beast Riding. But in play there's been numerous occasions where players are trying to tame an aggressive Vornskr or other beast and there was no really relevant skill, so Scholar as the all round "could be skill in anything" works pretty darn well.
