Description: The molator was a creature from Alderaanian mythology. It was said to use its magical powers to protect Alderaanian royalty. It had a hoary, almost regal look and walked about on insect-like legs.

Molators were used as dejarik holomonsters.

Grimtaash the Molator was a figure from Alderaanian myth. According to legend, Grimtaash protected the royal family of Alderaan from traitors, blinding them in frightening flashes of light. One of the holographic pieces used in the game of dejarik was shaped after Grimtaash. Ben Solo, the son of the Alderaanian Princess Leia Organa, piloted a starship named the Grimtaash during his time as a Jedi trainee under his uncle Luke Skywalker.
