Description: R3-M3 was an R3-series astromech droid which was manufactured by Industrial Automaton. A blue-plated droid, R3-M3 had a clear plastex dome that exposed its computer processors. By 0 BBY, R3-M3 served the Galactic Empire and was present aboard the Imperial Death Star battlestation. In that year, R3-M3 was rolling through a corridor in the station when the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi snuck across the corridor behind the droid in order to deactivate the battlestation's tractor beam. Shortly after, during the Battle of Yavin, the Alliance to Restore the Republic destroyed the Death Star in the Yavin system.
