Description: Zepher was a Mon Calamari starship engineer who ran a starship repair shop based on the big moon of the planet Tenoo. In 232 BBY, he prepared Jedi Vector starfighters for three Jedi younglings—Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs—who had come to the moon to bring the ships back to their Jedi Temple on Tenoo. Zepher, however, had them practice flying the Vectors before doing so and offered them his repair services whenever the younglings wished.
Biography
Zepher was a Mon Calamari engineer who lived on the big moon of the planet Tenoo during the High Republic Era. He owned a starship repair shop belowground in the moon and was friends with Jedi Master Zia Zanna and one of the pilot Nash Durango's mothers, the latter of whom he had taught about starships. In 232 BBY, Zanna sent Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs, accompanied by Durango, to Zepher in order to pick up new starships he had made for them. Zepher greeted them when they landed in Durango's starship, the Crimson Firehawk. He noted how much the pilot had grown since he saw her and called her droid, RJ-83, his favorite. Durango introduced her Jedi friends to the Mon Calamari, who welcomed them.
He then opened a hangar, revealing a Jedi Vector for each of the younglings. They scrambled to jump in, but Zepher halted them and explained that he had modified the Vectors to be suitable for younglings. This meant that before they took them to the Jedi Temple on Tenoo, he would need to ensure the younglings could handle flying them. Zepher then asked Durango if she would lead the flight practice, which the pilot confirmed, and the Mon Calamari waved as they flew off. They later returned, with Brightstar's Vector damaged after encountering an exogorth. Zepher brushed off the young Jedi's apology—he expected training ships to suffer from wear and tear, and offered to repair the Vectors whenever needed. He then permitted them to take the starfighters back to Tenoo and wished them a safe flight. Back at the temple, Master Zanna noticed Zepher's craftsmanship with the ships.
