Description: Melna was a Theelin female who worked as a dancer at a dance club on the asteroid Port Borgo. After spotting a group of children outside the club in around 9 ABY, she became concerned for their safety in the pirate-infested port and followed some of them, stopping the children Fern and KB to try and aid them.
When the girls claimed to be from the mythical planet At Attin, Melna did not believe them and assumed they were lying while on the run. She tried to drag them with her and find them transport, but eventually the girls separated from the Theelin in order to help the other two children, Wim and Neel, who were being chased by pirates.
Biography
Melna was a Theelin female who worked as a door girl and dancer at a cabaret dance club on the Pirate-run asteroid Port Borgo during the reign of the New Republic around 9 ABY. The Theelin was working the door alongside another door girl while trying to entice customers to enter the club when a group of children paused outside the establishment. The group were searching for directions to their homeworld, At Attin, and briefly considered asking at the club before moving on.
When the human child Fern became separated from the others, Melna watched her with concern and then followed her. After Fern reunited with her friend KB, Melna ran up to them and grabbed them by the shoulders, crouching down to confirm that they were only children. Pulling them into a nearby pet store kiosk, she asked who had brought them to the port, explaining how unsafe it was for children and planning to get them to a transport so they could escape. When the girls revealed that they had arrived on their own ship and simply needed direction home, the Theelin asked where that was, but scoffed when the children claimed to be from At Attin, as the world was commonly considered a myth. The two children resisted Melna's attempt to pull them along, believing she was trying to kidnap them.
When KB complained that the Theelin was hurting her arm, the door girl stopped and explained that the children needed a better story then At Attin if they were running from something. Fern maintained that it was their homeworld, but Melna remained sceptical. The trio were then distracted by cries for aid from the other two children from At Attin, Wim and Neel, who were being chased by a group of pirates. Fern and KB then separated from Melna to aid them, but the four children were captured by the pirates and thrown in the brig.
Personality and traits
Melna was concerned for the safety of the children she saw on Port Borgo, leaving her post to try and get them to safety and persisting even when they tried to resist her help. Despite their insistence, she refused to believe that they were from At Attin, assuming it was a cover story for whatever they were running away from. The Theelin had light skin with blue dots, brown eyes, and blue hair.
Equipment
While promoting the club, Melna wore a dark turquoise jumpsuit with matching gloves.
