Description: Snee was a human member of the Maya Pei Brigade when it was ambushed in 4 BBY during the Imperial Era. She and fourteen other survivors became stranded on the moon Yavin 4 after the battle and encountered the Axis network pilot Porko there, killing him when he shot at them. Porko's comrade Cassian Andor then arrived in a stolen TIE Avenger and was taken prisoner by Snee and her allies.
The brigade tried to interrogate Andor and then debated what to do with the prisoner and starfighter until brigade member Crab shot the brigade's pilot Rika and was in turn shot by brigade member Rowd. After this, the group broke into two factions, with Snee joining those who sided with self-proclaimed leader Gerdis while hiding in a wrecked Breon HOY-39. Snee was sent out to try and find Crab and Rika's bodies but uncovered only Crab's severed foot.
Snee soon grew concerned about the amount of food her faction had available and was worried that fellow faction member Plug had been taken hostage by the other faction when he took longer than expected to return from scouting. He informed her and the others that the other faction, led by brigade member Bardi, was turning the TIE Avenger to aim at Gerdis's group.
Later that night, the two groups met to decide what would happen next through a game of Five Hands, dropping their weapons while the game took place. They were interrupted by a Yavinian doodar attacking and carrying off both Gerdis and Bardi in its maw, leaving Snee and the others shooting aimlessly. Andor then escaped in the TIE Avenger, leaving them stranded.
Biography
A beleaguered brigade
Snee was a human member of the Maya Pei Brigade, a rebel group led by Maya Pei during the reign of the Galactic Empire. In 4 BBY, she was part of a group of sixteen brigade members who survived an ambush that destroyed six of the group's starships and forty of their starfighters. The survivors reached the moon Yavin 4 where one of their number, the brother of brigade member Bardi, left them stranded when he took their starship claiming he was going to look for other survivors. The fifteen brigade members left on the moon then encountered Porko, a pilot for the rebel Axis network who was waiting for his ally Cassian Andor at a rendezvous point on Yavin 4. Porko shot at the survivors and tried to flee, so they killed him.
Andor arrived at the rendezvous point in a stolen TIE Avenger two days after Snee and her allies had arrived there. The brigade members hid in the undergrowth surrounding the rendezvous point and their self-proclaimed leader, Gerdis, called out to Andor when he emerged from the TIE and warned him that all fifteen of them had their blasters aimed at him, causing him to surrender and try to convince them he was not an Imperial.
Bardi began criticising Gerdis for revealing their numbers, and this bickering between the two continued as they tried to question the prisoner. Snee and the others stood and watched the interrogation until their pilot, Rika, approached with a TIE pilot helmet that she claimed proved Andor was an Imperial test pilot. Snee and the others then aimed their weapons at the prisoner.
A lack of trust
While several brigade members took Andor into the TIE Avenger to inspect the cockpit, Snee examined the exterior with her other allies, looking at the starfighter's wings. Leaving Andor by the fighter with brigade member Crab guarding him, the rest of the brigade then gathered by a wrecked Breon HOY-39 nearby to discuss their options. Snee sat on the ground with her arms on her knees as Bardi and Gerdis argued about whether Rika or Andor would need to pilot the starfighter, eventually asking where they would even go once they did leave Yavin 4.
When the option of making multiple trips was brought up, Snee questioned who would get to be part of the first trip and soon the brigade began arguing about trust and Bardi's brother. They were interrupted by Andor, who had learned the group's identity from Crab and approached to tell them that he knew Pei and helped supply her. When he refused to reveal specifically who he worked for, Crab became enraged and had to be held back to stop him attacking Andor.
Divided
That night, all fifteen survivors and Andor gathered in the middle of the rendezvous point to discuss leadership and what to do next. Gerdis claimed he had been Pei's number two and intended successor, also claiming she had died at the ambush, but Bardi and his allies challenged both these claims. When Rika called Crab a coward and a liar and claimed he had hidden during the ambush, he demanded she take it back, eventually shooting her when she taunted him.
Brigade member Rowd then shot Crab and the rest of the group descended into a blasterfight, which Andor used as an opportunity to try and flee. Brigade members Bayso and Flek quickly caught the prisoner and were joined by Gerdis and those backing his leadership claim including Snee, Snur and Plug. The group took cover inside the Breon HOY-39 while those who had sided with Bardi hid around the TIE Avenger.
Snee was soon sent out to try and find Rika and Crab to see if they had survived and crawled on her stomach through the water-logged undergrowth of the rendezvous point. It had begun to rain heavily and this, along with tall grass and a misty haze limited her vision to no more then a few feet causing her to be out searching longer then the others expected. Plug began questioning where she was and Bayso commented that she should be searching in the middle of the rendezvous point, but Gerdis admitted that he could not tell where Snee had gone. Bardi then called out to Nazy, a member of his faction who had been sent out with the same purpose as Snee, and the sound of his voice caused her to freeze and duck low.
Trouble is afoot
As Bardi began to call out accusations that Gerdis and his allies had taken Rika's body, Snee came across Crab's boot poking out from the grass. She grabbed it by the heel and pulled but found it unattached to anything and realised as she lifted it that Crab's bloody foot was still inside, the rest of him having been taken by animals. She cried out in horror at the discovery, revealing her location to Nazy, who fired a shot at her. Angrily calling out in Huttese, she returned fire as Nazy fled back toward the TIE Avenger, where his allies began providing covering fire. Snee then fled back to the Breon HOY-39 herself, calling out to her allies not to shoot her as they fired at Bardi's group.
Inside the Breon HOY-39, Snee told her allies about finding the boot and when Gerdis questioned why she had not brought the boot with her, she shouted at him about the foot inside. Andor then interrupted and advised the group to catch some rainwater to drink while they had the opportunity. The following day, a fog had descended on the rendezvous point and after voting to eat, which Snee was in favor of, Gerdis's faction took stock of what food they had left. When Bayso revealed there was only nine meal bars left, Snee was shocked and told Bayso he should have told them no when they voted to eat earlier. She passed Flek a bowl as Andor chimed in that Bardi's group were being awful quiet, prompting Gerdis to send Plug out to scout.
When Plug failed to return quickly, the group began to worry and Snee suggested Bardi's faction be messing with them. She, Flek, and Snur then expressed fear that he was a hostage, but Gerdis was unconcerned and pointed out that they still had the only pilot. As Snee was shocked to learn that Snur had already eaten his entire meal bar, Plug rushed back into the Breon HOY-39 and warned the group that Bardi's faction were turning the TIE to aim its weapons at them. After making some calculations on how long it would take, they began firing in the TIE's direction to slow their opponents down.
All hands on deck
After night fell, Gerdis issued a challenge to Bardi and both groups emerged from their ships into the middle of the rendezvous point, with Flek remaining behind to guard Andor. One the count of three, Snee and the others all lowered their weapons and Bardi and Gerdis agreed to play Five Hands with Roski rules to determine what happened next. With Bayso and Rowd chosen as seconds, the game began and Snee watched as they played several rounds with at least two ending in a tie. With the others distract and lightning to cover the noise, Andor broke free inside the Breon HOY-39 and subdued Flek before beginning to sneak toward the TIE Avenger. Those playing Five Hands then paused when rumbling sounds emanated from the surrounding trees, with Snee commenting that she thought it might be thunder, although Nazy dismissed the idea.
A Yavinian doodar then rushed from the treeline and grabbed Bardi and Gerdis in its jaws before departing. Snee grabbed her blaster from the ground and fired aimlessly in the direction that the creature had gone. Flek then warned the brigade that their prisoner was getting away, causing Snee and the others to turn their fire on the starfighter. However, their weapons had no effect on the vessel and Andor—whose experience with the Maya Pei Brigade had shown him how far the rebellion was from acting as a unified team—used the chaos to depart Yavin 4 aboard the TIE Avenger, leaving Snee and the others stranded once more.
Personality and traits
Snee did not know where the surviving Maya Pei Brigade members should travel if they escaped Yavin 4 and had concerns about the group splitting to take multiple trips. When the survivors split into two factions, she sided with Gerdis and was angered by Crab's death when she found his foot. Snee was worried about how little food the faction had and concerned at the idea of Plug being a hostage. She had dark skin, black hair, brown eyes and spoke both Galactic Basic Standard and Huttese.
Equipment
Snee wore a gray jacket, brown pants, black boots, and a brown belt. She used a blaster in combat.
