Description: Lepori was a human who worked as a technical specialist for the Galactic Empire. In 1 BBY, the Imperial Security Bureau called her in as an inspector to Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest on the planet Coruscant, where she investigated the partially destroyed fractal radio of captured Axis network leader Luthen Rael. She was impressed by the rebel technology and reported her findings to bureau Supervisor Heert, providing him with a location for Rael's assistant, Kleya Marki, when she connected to the radio to send out a call for aid. Lepori later messaged Marki's radio so that Heert could trace her exact location.
Biography
Exciting tech
Lepori was a human who served the Galactic Empire as a technical specialist during its reign. She was sometimes brought in by the Imperial Security Bureau as an inspector and in 1 BBY was summoned to Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest on the planet Coruscant in such a capacity. The gallery's owner, Luthen Rael, had been discovered to be head of the rebel Axis network and had been taking into custody at the gallery after mortally wounding himself. However, before his arrest, Rael had destroyed a fractal radio in the back of the gallery by pouring a metallic caustic substance over its switchboard. Lepori was assigned to analyze what she could of what was left of the device, which was still smoking when she found it.
Rael was soon killed by his assistant, Kleya Marki, to prevent him being interrogated while Lepori continued investigating the gallery. She discovered that while the radio's storage files and signal library had been mostly destroyed, the device's transmitter was still intact and that the rebels had spliced their antenna into a metro tower next door and used Imperial broadcast power to transmit their messages. She relayed all this information to Imperial Security Bureau Supervisor Heert when he arrived in the gallery the next morning, chuckling at the information about the antenna until Heert's assistant, Attendant Joydali, shook his head at her to warn her to stop.
Signal ploy
Lepori explained to Heert that the most straightforward solution to analyzing the radio would be to take it offline and bring it to a laboratory, but Heert rejected the idea as he needed a location for Marki as quickly as possible. Lepori explained that for her to trace a location there would have to be a connection to the radio to trace back and that without one she could do nothing; however, she was cut off mid-sentence by a beeping from the radio and a flashing light, triggered by a connection from Marki sending out a request for aid from her rebel allies. Lepori was then able to provide Heert with Marki's location in an Axis network safehouse and the supervisor left to apprehend her.
When Heert then arrived at Tomkip Towers, where the safehouse was located, he had the ISB Central Office inform Lepori that he was ready. She then began sending a signal to Marki's radio from the gallery, creating a signal that Heert could trace to the rebel's exact location using a portable scanner. The ploy worked, and Heert accompanied an ISB Tactical squad to the safehouse, but was killed there by Marki's allies, allowing the rebel to escape Coruscant.
Personality and traits
Lepori was quite impressed with the technology of the fractal radio and enjoyed solving the puzzle it presented her. She had light skin, brown hair, and green eyes.
Equipment
Lepori wore a light gray Imperial officer's uniform with a two blue pips on her rank insignia plaque under a gray trench coat, black leather gloves, a black belt, and a black Imperial kepi. Both the belt and hat were adorned with an officer's disk and Lepori also had two code cylinders and an earpiece.
