Traditional: Klatooinian civilization was notable for its strong belief in tradition and the wisdom of elders. The center of their culture was the Fountain of Ancients, a slowly evolving natural glass sculpture on Klatooine's Derelkoos Desert. Long before the formation of the Galactic Republic, primitive Klatooinians discovered the Fountain, and revered it as a symbol of patience, tenacity, and the idea of strength coming from age. Their society was ruled by a Council of Elders, who granted young Klatooinians few rights. Klatooinians were taught the myths and traditions of their people from a young age, in a process which tended to suppress individuality. At the age of ten, they would be sold into servitude, with the most rebellious youths sent into the harshest conditions.

Description: Ronto was a Klatooinian pilot who served in the Galactic Alliance Remnant during the Second Imperial Civil War.[2] During the Battle of Mon Calamari in 137 ABY, Ronto's CF9 Crossfire starfighter was destroyed, but not before the pilot ejected into space. He managed to enter the planet's atmosphere and land safely, but he was captured by forces of the Empire. During Emperor Darth Krayt's subsequent Massacre of New Coral City, Ronto and several other Alliance pilots were released from imprisonment by fellow Rogue Monia Gahan and by the Imperial Knights Treis Sinde and Sigel Dare, servants of Emperor Roan Fel's Empire-in-exile.
Under the command of Jedi Master Drok, Ronto helped sabotage the defenses of the Mon Calamari Orbital Shipyards in preparation for the Evacuation of Dac after Krayt's One Sith released viral spores into the planet's oceans. The poison would purge Dac of all life, which prompted Alliance Admiral Gar Stazi and an emergency evac fleet to race against time, but they were only able to evacuate twenty percent of Dac's population.
In 138 ABY, Darth Krayt began a renewed military push against the newly-formed Alliance of the Galactic Alliance Remnant, the Empire-in-exile, and the New Jedi Order, a campaign that proved to be the endgame of the war. Ronto was killed during the final battle of the conflict, the Alliance's attack on Sith-occupied Coruscant.
