What is it ? : Ania and her crew arrive in orbit around the Dark Planet we now know was once called Mala, and Ania guides them towards the cave where she rescued Yalta Val near to the wreckage where the communications array crashed.
She orders the Transdoshan Stormtroopers to communications silence, but one of them discretely calls with their location as they trek across the planets surface. They find and rescue Jao from the cave and detect starships arriving, and they see hordes of civilian ships landing on the planet, even recognising one of the people disembarking as a diplomat. When the horde suddenly ignites lightsabers, and despite their squad of Stormtroopers they have to retreat, but Darth Wredd comes to their aid, giving Jao a Sith Lightsaber.
The group takes refuge within the Communications Array wreckage, and Wredd and Jao throw the massive dish from the array using the force onto the Sith. The Stormtroopers find a defensible position, but Sauk tells Ania that one of the Stormtrooper betrayed them by sending a signal which he thinks summoned the Sith. But the Stormtrooper denies it, pledging loyalty to the Empress, and Wredd tells them that the Stormtrooper is right, as the Sith have come for him for hunting them down as they infiltrated governments.
The Sith swarm in, their numbers look undefeatable, until an explosion comes from above as Imperial Tie Predators swoop in, and the forces of Empress Marisiah arrive, as it was them that was summoned by the Stormtrooper.
Imperial Knights drop from the Star Destroyers, and begin fighting the Sith hand to hand, the numbers looking far more balanced now. . . .

High Points : A lovely penultimate issue, as things look bad for the heroes, but the forces of Princess Marisiah come to the rescue. The action is well done, there's a little distraction as to the intentions of the Stormtroopers early one, as you're misled to believe that perhaps one of their number is working for Wredd or the Sith, and some mystery is preserved for the final issue, great stuff.

Low Points : So, they're up against hordes of Sith, and Wredd (who actually is a pretty weak Sith, not far beyond an apprentice) and Jao, throw the massive communications dish onto the oncoming Sith Horde. And the Sith are scattered by it, despite easily being able to catch and throw it aside themselves if they wished. Not it could be argued that these are Sith, so each out for themself, except they're obviously working together, and they're One Sith, so used to working as an army under Darth Krayt.

So what do you really think ? : A really nice penultimate issue, it's done all the work of getting all the pieces in place, without being a slow and cumbersome issue, where people act out of character just to get them where the finale needs them to be. If it can stick the landing, Legacy 2013 looks like it might be the far superior Legacy storyline, with Ania being a far more interesting protagonist than Cade managed to be.

Final Words : So everyone is here, from the Princess, to the heroes, to the Sith, and it's all here for the story of the Legacy era to wrap up. Will it leave everything perfect, or will the Sith remain a gathering threat as they did at the end of the main series, we'll find out in the final issue.

Score : 9/10
