Gondrin Upal (Nikto Refugee) | Mortar Stormtrooper | Nevarro High Magistrates Copper Droid | Jori Daragons Armed Courier |

What is it ? : The Young Jedi are briefed on a couple of missions they need to do by Master Zanna, she tells them that there is a journal that was written by a Jedi Explorer which must be found before a big storm, and some baby Bantha's which must be herded up. Lys wants to see the baby Bantha's, and ancient Jedi catches Kai's attention, and Master Zanna hands them datapads containing the coordinates of the worlds they must visit.
When they arrive, Kai wonders why the world is a desert when they were told that the journal was lost in the jungle, and he and Nubs then spot a Bantha ranch.
Meanwhile Nash and Lys realise they are in the wrong place as well, and contact Kai and Nubs to let them know. They decide they don't have time to travel to each others planets, so must just complete the missions where they are.
Kai and Nubs get speeder bikes and cages to round up the baby Bantha's, but are too busy looking for the Bantha's that Kai crashes his speeder bike and they must repair it.
Meanwhile Nash and Lys find a camp and begin exploring it, but Nash is grabbed by a plant.
Unable to find the Bantha's, Kai realises that Lys would be great at this, and tries to think of what she would do, and Nubs suggests meditating, which they do and hear the sounds of Bantha's in the distance, so head off to round them up.
Lys likewise realises that Nubs and Kai would be great at this, and she realises the plant is dry, so waters it and it releases Nash. They then discuss what Kai would do, and decide that he would just do something without thinking, so they start digging holes, and manage to locate a chest containing the journal.
One of the Bantha's refuses to enter the cages, so Kai and Nubs decide that Lys would calm the animals with a song, so begin singing, which calms the animal enough to enter the cage.
Kai and Nubs return the animals to the herder, and return to Tenoo, as do Nash and Lys. They explain to Master Zanna what happened and she admits she mixed up the missions on purpose because it's all very well doing what you like doing, but sometimes you've got to things you don't want to do, and Nash asks for Nubs help in getting goo from the plant off her and her droid. . . .
High Points : A fun little romp which the kids might enjoy, even if the missions themselves make little sense, the search for the journal feels like it could have been extended into a full story itself, and that could have been interesting.
Low Points : But why are Jedi, even younglings, being dispatched to round up missing baby Bantha's, isn't that something that the ranchers should do themselves. Sending two children from a completely different planet really seems excessive. For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice, doesn't seem to cover locating lost cattle.
And the lost journal, the Jedi's camp still exists, with tents and containers, but they locate the journal buried in a container. Why was it buried when the rest of the camp was still standing?
And the main concept of the episode is that they need to use the skills of the other character to complete their mission, with the skill Kai emulates from Lys is shutting up and being quiet so he can hear the Bantha's, and the skill Lys emulates from Kai being to just do something, anything, no matter whether it makes sense. It doesn't seem to value eithers actual skills very highly.
So what do you really think ? : The episode is fine, and moves along quickly and entertainingly enough, even if it doesn't seem to have given much thought to the characters themselves. Is the best feature they really could think of Kai that he's impulsive and operates without thinking, and the best feature of Lys really that she's quiet? At least Nub's gets out of it, with the feature of his they emulate is his knowledge of botany to realise the plant needs watered.
Final Words : So the moral of this episode is, sometimes you've got to do things you don't want to do, but you've got to do them anyway.
