Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: Rendezvous with Ceres Contact

What is it ? : Cal travels to Jedha to find out if Cere knows anything about Tanalor, but her location is hidden so he is to rendezvous with her contact who will guide him to Cere's location. Cere has been rebuilding the Jedi Archives along with Eno Cordova, so is Cal's best option for finding old and hidden Jedi knowledge. Arriving on the planet, he encounters some Stormtroopers, and meets with the contact who turns out to be Merrin.
They travel across the planets surface sheltering from a storm and using Spamel's they make quick progress and arrive at the temple that Cere now uses. Inside they speak with Cere and discover there is further clues on the shattered moon of Koboh, where the archives make mention of Dagan Gera making frequent visits.
Bode has brought the Stinger Mantis to a docking bay inside the temple, and before they leave he teaches Cal to use a blaster alongside his lightsaber.

High Points : This is another area which displays the way that Survivor has such large levels compared to Fallen Order, it really feels as if you're travelling for a day across the surface, with this broken up with encounters with monsters, and Imperial Forces.

Low Points : It is amusing however that after Cal having to make this epic quest across the surface of the planet, that Bode and the Stinger Mantis just arrive, meaning that if you'd just stayed behind you'd have arrived at roughly the same time.
Cere and Eno working together to build a new Jedi Archive doesn't really feel right for the era, when they're supposedly hunted and on the verge of extinction, these two Jedi Masters are basically sitting in one place collection knowledge and records, which just seems to be putting a target on their backs.
Sliding sands are one of the obstacles here, and they really annoyed me, that you have to leap between different rocks or slide back down. The riding beasts can handle them fine, but finding the exact path or end up back at the beginning just annoyed me.

So what do you really think ? : It's a nicely done level, and the expansiveness of it feels different to the way that Koboh is done, with large open areas, and you're only hemmed in by cliff faces dropping down into the depths, rather than all the mountains of Koboh (although there are mountains here as well), the lush greenery of Koboh is replaced by red desert landscapes on Jedha.

Final Words : While this is a pretty good level, the entire experience on Jedha disappointed me. After seeing the planet in Rogue One, I imagined visiting it, and levels being based around climbing the giant statues we saw in the movie, discovering an ancient past and seeing these iconic constructions up close. But we encounter some ruined temples, and most of the level is just desert, for the massive size of the levels, Jedha doesn't feel as colossal in scale as it appeared in the movie.

Score : 8.5/10
