What is it ? : The Young Jedi are practicing in their Vector Starfighters, when they receive a message from Nash, she needs their help. They travel to her garage where they discover it has been infested with Firehawk chicks, which are beautiful but she is expecting her mothers back with a potential client who is known to be particular about tidiness.
Firstly they try to feed the chicks with some berries they have stored there, hoping that with their hunger sated they will leave, but the chicks just summon more of their kind when they find there is plenty of food available.
They then decide the best way to get the chicks to leave is to let them follow an adult to the mountains where they normally nest, but there is no adult Firehawk. So they repaint Nash's starship, the Crimson Firehawk like an adult bird, and lure them to follow the ship. This works, but the birds keep leaving the formation, so the Jedi in their starfighters need to lead them back to the flock until they eventually reach the mountains where the adult Firehawks nest.
Heading back to the garage, they discover that Nash's mothers have arrived with the client, but the place is still covered with feathers. Nash apologises, but the client is a lover of Firehawks and has always wanted to see them, so they take him to the mountains and the Durangos land the contract.
High Points : There's nothing much to this episode, even if I've skipped a couple of stages as they tried to get the chicks to leave the garage, such as imitating their calls, and levitating them using the force. But these really don't amount to much, and it's really straightforwards.
Even the drama of the episode, where the Durango's might not win a contract isn't particularly interesting, and when they try to ramp it up by having Nash have to decide whether to keep leading the chicks to their parents, or rush back to clean up some feathers, it really doesn't add any challenge or conflict.
Low Points : These are really rare birds, that Nash doesn't recognise, but somehow has named her ship after them? And they just happen to have landed in her garage, not 1 or maybe even 2, but a whole flock of them. And they're so rare, that everyone knows where they nest and can easily visit it.
So what do you really think ? : The plot doesn't make much sense, there's no drama, and it's pretty dull throughout, this episode really disappoints.
Final Words : And I just realised I never noticed a message in the last couple of episodes. This one is perhaps be nice to animals, but that seems a little generic, although Nash does ignore her duties to be kind to the chicks and lead them back to their families.
And I guess the message of the last episode (Aftershocks) was to help people. But really these messages don't seem as heavy handed as they were in earlier episodes.
