Description: Pak was a human officer of Janix Civil Defense's Tactical Defense Force on the planet Janix during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Between 17 BBY and around 13 BBY, he pursued a bank transport being stolen by a group of criminals, and eventually caught up to them in Sector 8-J. Despite the arrival of police backup, Pak and his colleagues were defeated when the crime lord Maul attacked with his double-bladed lightsaber and cut down the officer.

Biography
Down to the wire
Pak was a human who served as an officer in the Tactical Defense Force of Janix Civil Defense—a law enforcement agency in Janix city on the planet Janix—during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Between 17 BBY and around 13 BBY, Pak was on-duty one night in the city and sat eating takeout in a stationary mid-air police cruiser with a police droid in the driver's seat next to him and the airspeeder of Unit 10 also hovering stationary nearby. When a call from dispatch came in over the radio reporting that alarms had been activated in the Banking District, Pak put down his food and called for Unit 10 to follow as his vehicle's sirens activated and they headed for the site of the alarm.

The alarms had been activated by a group of Mandalorian and Zabrak criminals who were stealing a transport from a bank tower owned by the crime lord Nico Deemis. They departed in the vehicle just as Pak and Unit 10 arrived, with the criminals' probe droid Spybot hearing the police sirens and alerting the Mandalorian Rook Kast to the approaching law enforcement. Kast, from inside the stolen transport, activated a series of pre-planted charges on the surfaces of buildings around the bank, launching wires between them. Unit 10, speeding ahead of Pak's vehicle in pursuit of the transport, flew into the wires and their vehicle was sliced into pieces and exploded. Pak ordered the droid with him to pull up just in time to avoid the wires and then reported the loss of Unit 10 and the movements of the criminals over the radio.

Deadly pursuit
As Pak's vehicle continued pursuit, Spybot opened fire from on top of the stolen transport, scoring a hit on the front of the officer's speeder and throwing Pak around in his seat. The police vehicle tried to boost after the transport, but it had already flown out of sight and so Pak ordered his droid partner to run a scan on the surrounding districts. Following reports of an unidentified shuttle, they headed to Sector 8-J and Pak ordered all avaliable Civil Defense units to converge on the shuttle's coordinates.

They discovered a gauntlet-class shuttle on a rooftop landing pad, with the criminals transfering credits from the stolen transport into the shuttle. Pak pulled down his protective visor as the criminals opened fire on his vehicle. Several other backup police speeders arrived as Pak's vehicle landed on the rooftop between the criminals and the shuttle, with Pak and the droid with him emerging from the vehicle and demanding the criminals drop their weapons, raising his visor to repeat the instruction. Kast told the other criminals to comply in a mocking tone and they stood down.

Mauled
Pak then heard footsteps at the top of the shuttle's ramp behind him. Turning with the rest of the squad with him, Pak found the cloaked crime lord Maul stood amidst the shuttle's billowing fumes. When Maul activated his double-bladed lightsaber, Pak ordered his men to open fire, but the crime lord deflected their shots with his spinning blade as the other criminals resumed fire on the other police forces. As officers around him were cut down by their own deflected blaster bolts, Pak looked up in horror as Maul leapt toward him to cut him down. During the followup investigation of the incident, an image of Maul was recovered from the memory bank of the droid who had flown with Pak, another casualty of the conflict.

Personality and traits
A loyal member of the Tactical Defense Force, Pak was known by his peers as a good pilot and a lover of noodles. He had light skin, brown hair, blue eyes and stood 1.83 meters tall.

Equipment
Pak wore the blue and yellow uniform of the Tactical Defense Force with a visored helmet and carried a blaster pistol, standard among the police droids and TDF officers.
