Merr-Sonn PXI-2

The PXI-2 isn't one of Merr-Sonn's most popular blaster rifles, and is not used by the Alliance nor the Empire in large numbers. The PXI-2 was marketed more toward police forces, such as the Sector Rangers and the Corporate Sector Authority.

The BlasTech A280 has a reputation of being able to nearly but a fully armored soldier in half, but the PXI-2 has a reputation of actually cutting a fully armored soldier in half. Due this ferocity, the PXI-2 is generally only deployed to a single soldier in a squad to supplement the others.

Despite its excellent performance record, the PXI-2 is a not all that common on the open market and it is generally a rarity to encounter someone who actually wields the weapon. This is mainly due to its size. Unlike many other blaster rifles that have retractable or folding stocks, the PXI-2 has a fixed stock, making it clumsy in close quarters combat situations.

Model: Merr-Sonn Munitions PXI-2 Heavy Blaster Rifle
Cost: 1,720 (power packs: 25)
Damage: 4d8+1
Critical: 19 - 20
Range Increment: 27.5 m
Weight: 4.5 kg
Stun Fort Save: DC 18
Type: Energy
Size: Medium
Group: Blaster Rifle
Ammo: 100
Game Notes: Stock: +3 to Blaster if used for one round of aiming.
