Description:  The Glorious Retro is an modernized archaic aircraft built by the Assan Aeroplane Company and sold to hobbyists and others across the galaxy as a kit.  Advertising suggests its a fun way for the family to get together, build the aeroplane, and fly it.  The Glorious Retro is powered by a internal combustion engine and a propellor, and uses the movement of air over its wings for lift.  As such, it can only fly in an atmosphere, but is not as limited by proximity to the ground as a repulsorcraft.  It is surprisingly loud for such a delicate looking craft due to its unusual ancient engine.

Despite using ancient designs the Glorious Retro is made with all modern materials, and is very light (200kg) and surprisingly strong.  It can stay aloft for several hours on a tank of fuel.  Glorious Retro's are primarily used for entertainment, but sometimes also by scouts, surveyors and the news media.  They are popular on some small colonies as well, and in some schools as a teaching aid.

Glorious Retro's come in all manner of festive colors.  It takes approximately a month and a very easy Archaic Aircraft Repair roll to build the Glorious Retro.  The Glorious Retro is only modestly successful, as many people see no use for such a craft.  Assan sometimes gives away free Glorious Retro kits to purchasers of its other, more expensive, craft in the hopes of spurring sales.
