Private Orland (Human Stormtrooper) | Ranat | Avi Singh (Human Politician) | Jannah (TZ-1719) (Former First Order Stormtrooper) |

What is it ? : The Imperial Garrison on Had Abaddon is attacked, and Cade and his team breach the control tower confronting the Sith in charge, Darth Reave. Celeste Morne converts the Stormtroopering into Rakghouls, and one of them bites the Sith, but she allows him to escape, despite it not being part of the plan agreed with Cade.
Cade calls her out for it, but she tells him that she needed to lure Darth Krayt here, and Reave will do that, so they begin waiting for him to arrive.
Across the galaxy, Roan Fel receives a communication from Antares Draco who updates him about Celeste Morne and the Sith amulet she wears, Roan Fel decides that he could equally master the amulet and convert Krayts forces against him, so commands the Imperial Knights to bring the Amulet, and if possible Celeste to him.
The Knights present on Had Abaddon, Antares Draco, Azlyn Rae and Ganner Krieg disagree on this matter, Draco believes the Knights job is to follow the orders of the Rightful Emperor. Roan Fel, the others believe the same, but also their job is to stop him falling to the Dark Side, and the Amulet could bring this about.
Shado Vao enters Celeste's chamber finding her in cryostatis, he takes his lightsaber and kills her with the Amulet taking him as it's next host, but this is just a vision. He confronts Celeste about the amulet trying to tempt him, and she questions why he is there at all, with him telling her it is to stop his friend, Cade falling to the Dark Side.
Elsewhere on Had Abaddon, Jariah and Deliah discuss their situation, with Deliah feeling that Cade and Azlyn have become close since he healed her, but Jariah points out he healed both of them as well, but this doesn't overcome her concerns.
Outside Celeste's quarters, Azlyn approaches with a blaster, only for Cade to stop her, she wants to kill Celeste as she is evil and corrupted by the Amulet, which is trying to corrupt them all as well. They embrace and spend time together in the former commanders quarters.
Later Cade confronts Celeste about the influence that the Amulet is having on everyone, and Celeste asks why he is not effected as his flirtation with the Dark Side through his healing ability makes him ideal for Karness Muur's influence. But Cade says the attempts just make him laugh, which angers Muur's spirit causing the Rakghouls to become violent, only for Celeste to regain control, telling Cade he managed to anger Muur, something Cade tells her happens to a lot of people.
Cade warns her and Muur to stop causing problems, threatening to take the Amulet and drop it into a black hole if it continues, a threat that both Celeste and Muur say they'll remember. . . .
High Points : After some nice action, showing how they seize control of the Garrison on Had Abaddon, mainly through the use of the Muur Amulet, we get some nice character moments. As the influence of Muur spreads throughout the team, we get to see the conflicts that they have put aside to concentrate on taking down Krayt, once more rise to the top. Even Antares Draco and Ganner Krieg come into conflict, with Antares questioning Ganner's feelings for Azlyn, who instantly comes back with questioning Antares feelings for Marisiah which have influenced his decisions, something that Ganner has obviously been thinking about for some time, but never allowed himself to verbalise before.
Low Points : But while these moments are interesting, it does mean that for the majority of the issue, in the middle of a quest to assassinate Darth Krayt, the leader of the One Sith, the characters are just sitting around waiting for him to turn up and talking.
The character moments are great, but it does rob the story of all urgency and momentum as it just stops dead. I feel if there was some minor threat, like Stormtroopers elsewhere on the planet planning an attack, only to be repelled by the Rakghoul infected forces under Celeste Morne, it would have retained an element of danger and risk to the characters instead of having them use the Imperial commanders quarters for romantic dalliances.
So what do you really think ? : An enjoyable enough issue, and one where we get to know so much more about the side characters which I think will be very interesting going forwards in the series. The main element I think they're pushing in this issue is that Karness Muur is the threat within, and while they're preparing for a fight with Darth Krayt, Karness has other plans, probably to position himself to take over the Sith once Krayt is dealt with.
Final Words : The moment between Jariah and Deliah brought back my thoughts on the effect Jedi have on Zeltrons. We saw back in the Marvel comics when they were first introduced, that female Zeltrons were incredibly attracted to Luke, spurning any attention from Han (who wasn't interested in them, but is a guy who loves attention and didn't like being overshadowed). Likewise Leia attracted a group of Zeltron males who served her and protected her. This always felt like Zeltrons have an attraction to Jedi, which means that Deliah's feelings for Cade aren't completely hers, it's almost like a compulsion. All of which makes Cade's treatment of her, and their relationship far worse and almost abusive.
