TK-5187 (Human Imperial Walker Gunner) | Eirtae (Human Queens Handmaiden) | Cygnus Spaceworks Nu-class attack shuttle | Warba Calip (Human Con Artist) |

What is it ? : We begin with a meeting between some Snivvians and Gran, the meeting discusses the Dac system becoming a hive of crime since the Sith destroyed all life there. The lead negotiator goes back to his rooms where he is ambushed by Darth Wredd and is revealed as a Sith himself, they fight as the Snivvian calls Wredd out about his activities on Carreras, and how they are supposed to infiltrate and gain power, not draw attention. Wredd defeats him, throwing him out of the window where his body is discovered in the streets below, where his disguised tattoo's are seen and they realise that he is a Sith.
Aboard AG-37's ship, Ania, Yalta Val, Sauk and AG-37 are drifting waiting for rescue, while Jao is still unconscious, when a Star Destroyer arrives and tractor's them in.
On Coruscant the death of the Snivvian is discussed by the ruling council, as they connect Wredd to another death and realise he is going after Sith hidden within government.
Aboard the Star Destroyer, Ania is given comfortable quarters and told that Empress Fel was impressed by her activities on Carreras, and that she is liked to get a plum assignment on Coruscant out of it. Meanwhile AG-37 is being repaired, but the technicians can make no sense out of the repairs and upgrades he has had over his long life, but Sauk helps them and they praise his skills. Yalta Val is reporting back to Coruscant and is given a new assignment teaching young Knights. And Jao is in a bacta tank where he relives the fight with Wredd, and sees a vision of Wredd watching him.
In the hangar later, Ania speaks to Sauk who has signed on to work as an engineer for AG-37, and they say their goodbyes as AG-37 and Sauk leave in AG-37's ship.
Jao has been released from the Bacta tank and trains with Yalta, complaining he has been assigned light duties, but Yalta tells him they must follow orders. And afterwards Jao and Ania discuss Wredd and his goals on Carreras, with Ania saying they can't just let him get away with it, even if the Alliance has decided to not follow him yet, but Jao trusts in the Empress and her decision.
AG-37 and Sauk are landed getting supplies and Sauk meets another Mol Calamari, who tells him that the Dac system isn't a complete loss, some Mon Cal are returning to the shipyards, while the planet is lost the orbital shipyards are still inhabitable.
Aboard the Star Destroyer, Ania grabs her blaster and goes to see Jao, telling him that someone needs to do something about Wredd and no one else seems to be willing, so it must be them. Jao agrees and dresses and they head to the hangar to get a ship, but Yalta is awaiting them with some Stormtroopers telling Jao that he expected better of him and he really wished it hadn't come to this. . . .
High Points : We're straight into it, and Wredd is continuing his campaign of restoring the Rule of Two, drawing attention to the Sith's campaign of infiltration. A brilliant way of keeping the story going and leading us on with his story. And we get a nice period of recovery for the heroes after the action of the last few issues.
Ania comes across very well in this issue, she's obviously drawn by the offer that she'll be given a plum role on Coruscant. For a scrapper this offer is appealing, she's worked in a junkyard and now it looks as if her heroic actions will allow her to gain a comfortable life, something she's only dreamt of before. But when it becomes clear that no one is going to do anything about Wredd, as he's currently only killing Sith, so is doing the Alliance's work for it, she throws away the opportunity and talks Jao round to breaking his orders and actually hunting down Wredd.
Low Points : But it's slow, there's so much dialogue and while much of it is obliviously filling us in with what's happening with the Dac system, so much of it is characters pondering Wredd's actions, and splitting up the group (even though we know they'll be back together sooner or later).
And I'm getting more annoyed that the Jedi are just twiddling their thumbs while a Sith is going around killing people, why is all of this being left to the Imperial Knights, who seem to be more obedient now than they were under Roan Fel.
And the set up for a fight between Yalta Val and Jao Assam seems pointless, he hasn't done anything yet, and Yalta is standing in his way. Rather than trusting the comrade who broke the rules to come to his rescue. Yalta really doesn't come out of this looking good, just following orders isn't a great personality for a hero in a Star Wars story.
So what do you really think ? : It's an issue of set up for the next story arc, but after a good set up, it's all so wordy and slow. Set up issues are always problematic and story's tend to drag a lot during them, but this one really feels like it's just putting characters into where they need to be for the rest of the story to be told.
Final Words : The first issue of Legacy 2013 that's been a disappointment, the set up of the fight between Jao and Yalta obviously will come to nothing, just making this issue a waste of time after the first few pages. Hopefully with the set up out of the way, things will pick up next issue.
