Description: The W Type transport was a last effort for the shipyards of the planet Nubia to retain their hold on the luxury ship market which had been slipping away as the galaxy started down the path towards civil war. With assassination attempts on officials and senators and more heavily armed and shielded vessel was required, and the W Type was designed to fill this role. The W Type remains a ship of a bygone era, with luxurious fittings, and a generous cargo hold for a personal transport ship, the few that remain are often customised to protect their rich owners, and a sad few have been stripped of their luxurious appointments and have been reduced to mere cargo vessels.

They're all fine ships, but the one from Phantom Menace did it for me. Love the shape and size, but any time I look at the internals (incredible cross-sections) I always feel like there'd never be enough room for the kind of modifications I'd want to make. Still, it looks like a sleek, shiny SR.-71 Blackbird in space!

I agree: they are all fine ships. And the Blackbird was an explicit inspîration of the design team for the Phantom Menace. But I've always found this design more impressive (the arrival at Coruscant in Attack of the Clones has made me a great impression) bye

The Nubian ship's arrival on Coruscant was impressive and breathtaking, right up to the point it blew up in a flash of light and silvery bits, lol!
