Added General Grievous (Cyborg Confederacy General) to the Star Wars Characters Section. Grievous' Stats include some rather ridiculous skill levels (20D Lightsaber), however given that he has to stand a chance against Anakin and Obi-Wan he needed similarly high skills to what a Jedi can generate (eg Kenobi's skills as given by WEG are 11D Lightsaber and 12D Sense, giving him 21D when using Lightsaber Combat after multiple action penalties are taken into account). |

Added Colla Designs and Phlac-Arphocc Automata Industries TriFighter, Kuat Systems Engineering Eta-2 Actis Interceptor, Kuat Systems Engineering Alpha-3 Nimbus "V-Wing" starfighter and Kuat Drive Yards Venator-class Star Destroyer to the Star Wars D/6 Starships Section. Corporate Alliance Persuader-Type Droid Enforcer to the Star Wars D/6 Vehicles Section and Imperial CloneTrooper NPC to the Star Wars Characters Section, both as a thank you for sticking with us over the last few weeks, and also to celebrate the release of Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, a film which we here at RPGGamer.org thinks absolutely rocks. |

And we're back.First the important stuff, I've added HK-47 (Protocol/Assassin Droid) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section, a contribution through our forum by Stonedwolf, a truly brillant effort into which he obviously put a lot of effort, our thanks fly out to him. I apologise for the extended absence I have had to take from the site, but having a large number of projects to submit for my Post-Graduate Degree, followed by the examinations for my final semester led me with absolutely no free time, especially considering that we've got a 12 week old baby in the house. During our absence, the site was hacked, and although our visitors will have not noticed any changes caused by the hackers, they used our web-space and bandwidth for trading MP3's as well as hijacking our email system for sending out spam and phishing emails. This led to some work having to go into searching the sites logs for accesses and the origins of the attack (which turned out to be Lithuania). As well as causing us some problems at a time when we had little time to deal with them, the attack ended up swallowing a significant chunk of the sites bandwidth for the month, which almost knocked us off the Internet if the attack had gone un-noticed for much longer. We'd also like to remind visitors that Dark Lord of the Sith is back up and running, and have had a rather gorgeous makeover to their site, as well as a rather massive update of new stats. Good to see them back and running properly, and its obvious that we've got our work cut out for us if we're going to continue to play with the big boys. :-D And on that topic, we'd like to repeat our commitment to improving RPGGamer.org, and to say that not only are we going to continue to support the Star Wars D/6 rules, but we will start to support D/20 (although obviously we're not going to be able to convert our entire catalogue to stats to the D/20 rules in any short period of time). We also have some large plans for RPGGamer.org which are underway, as well as planning some serious updates and sourcebooks for Star Wars D/6 (since we've now got our grubby little hands on D6 Space, which updates the D6 rules rather nicely) which will be backed up by updates to the site. Finally, our extended absence has led to another extended poll, but since Episode 3 only came out a few days ago, it almost all seems planned. Most people who voted expected Episode 3 to be the best of the Star Wars Prequels, while many also thought it would be the best movie ever. The full results were . . . Now all of the Star Wars Movies are out, and we've seen all of the six movies, we'd like to know which you think is the best of them all. So please vote, and we'll see if the originals can hold up to prequels now that Revenge of the Sith is out! |
