Name: Torku
Class: Terrestrial
Climate: Temperate
Primary terrain: Mountains
Immigrated species: Humans
Government: Imperial

Description: An industrialised planet under control of the Empire, Torku's capital city was in a valley in the mountains which had a large population and heavy industry. The city contained a major Imperial Base, but was far enough from the core systems that corruption and indifference had set in, allowing the Rebels to take advantage of lapses in security to breach the base.
The base was also the site of weapon development, which had reached a series of set-backs and failures, but the Rebels planned to active the weapon and turn it on the base, infiltrating the base with a Scientist, Davgar Llian. Llian made the weapon active, but the mission turned out to be a plan by Darth Vader to get the Rebels to complete the project for him, and he then seized control of the now functioning weapon and intimidated Davgar Llian into Imperial service.
The Imperial Officers on the base mingled with Torku society, and one high ranking officer, who was the liason to Darth Vader when he visited, had a wife named Kaela who was a museum guide who hoped her husband could convince Vader to attend and patronise the museum to help it gain funding.
