March/2010 UPDATES

30/March/2010 Posted by HellStormer1

Hellstormer here again, hello!  I've had a chance to sit down and finally do up the Battlestar Galactica (Re-imagined Series) and the Battlestar Pegasus (Re-imagined Series), both from the reimagined version of the seris from 2003 to 2008 (2009?).  These ships are both tough as nails and will give just as hard as they take on any given day.  While I am not a complete fan of the new series, many elements of it did hold my attention, but none of it more than the designs of all the new ships in the series.  I have been wanting to start these for a long while, and I'm glad to finally do so and share them with everyone.

Not only that...I have found online many takes on different classes and models of colonial and cylon starships, enough to keep me busy for a while to come, and hopefully entertain you all as they come out.  I think you'll be impressed.  I wanted to do more, but it takes me forever these days to sit down and get stuff done, I thought I should hand out what I have and keep things going, showing that we are still active here on the site and that we love doing so when we can.

Past that, I also look at some of my own older entries and see a lot of room for improvement.  So when I get a chance, I'll touch these up as time permits, and make them better (and much more organized, lol) than before.  Also, I added some extras to the D6 Firearms article, on the Firearms skill and specializations.  You can find it here at D6 FIREARMS v1.3.1 in the Supplements section.

More Galactica to come, and I'm not just talking about the new series...did I ever mention that I found loads of concept art from Bryan Singer's attempt at a new Galactica series?  Bryan Singer, as in, "The Usual Suspects", "X-men" and "Superman Returns"?  He was the one given the reigns on reworking Galactica, before events of the time took him off the project.  Unfortunately, we got what it became...*FROWN!*...but nevertheless, the designs are good, and it got ratings and sold DVDs like crazy.  So I'll pump out material based on it, Singer's artwork, and even things I've found based upon the original series itself!

-hours later-

Oh no.  I goofed again.

Ladies an' gents, Hellstormer here again, hello!  Today I went through my email to find a cool little article by Simon L. who has done great work in converting Star Trek material to Star Wars D6 RPG rules.  His stuff has been posted in Supplements D6 as Star Trek to Star Wars, for your viewing pleasure.  Also, I have sat down here and taken another look at my old D6 Firearms rules, and after all this time, it didn't look so shiny anymore.  I had always meant to go over it again, just got busy like we all do.  But I finally took the time, and I gotta say...SHINY!!!  Anyone who enjoys Star Wars D6, especially the revised rulebook, should love the revision of this article, and what you'll be able to do with it in your games, as it relies more heavily on what makes Star Wars D6 something we all llove and enjoy, instead of the clutter I made it before.  I hope people like it.  D6 FIREARMS v1.3 is in Supplements D6 as well, awaiting your viewing pleasure.

Well, among the reasons I haven't been updating the site (apart health, family, work and my wife getting me addicted to Facebook) has been me returning to playing Freespace 2. I've long been a fan of the game, and recently when thinking about installing it on my computer, I discovered out on the internet that the open source version I had been vaguely aware of had matured and was now a modern, flashy version of the game, with loads of new campaigns to play through. So my love affair with this fantastic game was once again reborn.
As long term visitors to the site will know, I ripped the game off heavily for ship designs for the Mandalorians, and used the images across the site. But on replaying the game, I thought what the hell, the species and ships were deserving of being converted to Star Wars D/6 intact.
So today I've started, and I've added the Vasudans to the Player Character Races section of the Characters D/6 page, and the Shivans to the Non-Player Characters section of the same page. I've also addedParliamentary Vasudan Alliance Thoth Class Fighter, Parliamentary Vasudan Alliance Aten Class Cruiser and Parliamentary Vasudan Alliance Typhon Class Destroyer to the Star Wars D/6 Starships Section of the site. I intend to continue converting the Vasudan fleet, and start the Shivan and Terran Fleets, thanks to the Freespace Wiki, this should be a fairly easy task.

Hello everyone, long time, no see.  I have here some items from the guyver setting in anime and manga fandom.  Guyver Units (Guyver Unit I), Guyver Unit III, and last but not least, the Guyver Gigantic.  The Gigantic is, um...a bit overpowered, but hey, some people like that kind of thing.  ENJOY!
