October/2010 UPDATES

31/October/2010 Posted by HellStormer1

Ladies and gents, Hellstormer1 here again.  I had some more time today and took a look through my email.  I discovered that I had been neglectful, and had forgotten to post some new material for the site a while back.  Therefor, I owe an apology to someone out there...without further adieu, I'd like to proudly introduce Todd K, and his well thought-out material on The Border Worlds for Star Wars D20!!!

In D20 Planets we now have Carmine, DyRel (Indolis), New Ulovoria, The Shoal, Vigolithot V3688-211, and Chorva.  While there currently isn't a link in the D20 menu for D20 planets, give us a little time.  Until then, please use these links to take a look at the information for these locations.  Todd K has done a great job on them!

To flesh out the setting and give more information for players and GMs on The Border Worlds, especially the Naislia and Gamsisha sectors as he puts it, we also now have in D20 Supplements The Border Worlds, Starships of the Border Worlds and The Trade Web Worlds (Border Worlds)

Hopefully we'll see more from Todd K in time.  Until then, enjoy!

Hey everyone, Hellstormer1 back again.  Haven't had much time, and I do apologize.  But I sat down off and on since last night and did up the UNSC M6K Handgun, UNSC M6C/SOCOM Handgun and UNSC M6D/SOCOM HiMag Handgun.  The M6K WAS a variant listed under the M6C, but I thought it was different enough to be its own entry.  The M6C/SOCOM was the awsome handgun used in Halo 3: ODST.  But more than either of these, the M6D/SOCOM HiMag is something i did for fun.  Finding a pic online that was based on the M6C/SOCOM, yet having a chrome color to it, I found myself thinking about the M6D Magnum from Halo: Combat Evolved, where it all started.  The handgun in that game was mighty powerful, and it's even ranked #1 on many lists as "Most Powerful Hangun in an FPS".  I thought, why not make a sidearm that combines the features of both?  And there we have it, the so-called M6D/SOCOM HiMag, most powerful handgun for the Halo Universe with devestating damage comparable to a Thunderer from Star Wars RPG with the range of most standard combat rifles, a truely devestating weapon in the right hands!

   More to come...

Hey, Hellstotrmer1 here again.  I took some time and cranked out UNSC M6D Handgun, UNSC M6C Magnum Handgun (M6A, M6B, M6E, M6F, M6K), and UNSC M7S Submachine Gun (SMG), added to HALO in Equipment D6.  Also, I reworked UNSC M7/Caseless Submachine Gun (SMG), as it didn't feel quite like the SMG from the Halo games.  It's rules get a bit cluttering (and if anyone has a simpler, better version, please leave this in comments, I would love to see it, and maybe even change out the rules for it!), so it was tweaked.

----------
*Later that night, just before midnight*
Whoops, forgot to add this earlier...
UNSC M6J Carbine
This is another variant of the M6 series firearms, but instead of a handgun/pistol, it's been modified to be a carbine, closer to an assault rifle or SMG, but more than just a handgun.

Hey everyone, Hellstoprmer1 here.  Had some time to crank out a few more.  Here's UNSC M7/Caseless Submachine Gun (SMG), UNSC XBR55 Battle Rifle, UNSC BR55HB SR Battle Rifle, UNSC BR55 Battle Rifle, and UNSC M392 Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR), all added to the Weapons part of Halo in Equipment D6.  Alos, as the first part of Equipment for Halo, I did up the UNSC Laser Designator, a nifty support device for "team players" in a Halo RPG.  In Equipment D6, everything is being put in a HALO category, which happens to be at the bottom of the page.  Have a look.

   ENJOY!

Hello, one and all!  Hellstormer1 here, and I have a treat for you.  As many of you out there in the world are very aware of, Halo: Reach was released last September 14th.  It's a hell of a game, and I have the chance to enjoy it when I can (XBOX Live, Killbayne).  If any of you have been keeping up with the news, Bungie has worked its way away from Microsoft and become atonymous again, getting ready for their own next big project, while Frank O'Connor stayed with microsoft to lead 343 Industries in all future Halo franchise endeavors.

In short, everyone went their separate ways happy, and we still have the right people to keep on giving us great games in the Halo universe!  YES!!!

So, in honor of the times, I've begun working on Halo material.  I have not had time in a while to crank stuff out until now, though i am working to alter that.  Assuredly, I've always got ideas in my head...*The hamster wheel turns slowly*...lol.

Before i go any further, I would like to extend a great and mighty THANK YOU out there to Bob the Dinosaur.  He had previously sent in Halo material that Freddy posted a while back.  The work is good.  Really good, I recommend having a look for any fans.

The write-ups I have here are currently few, but they are a start of what's to come over time.  I will start with the UNSC side of things, weapons specifically, and work my way up, then on to the Covenant and finally Forrunner material.  Believe me, there's more to it all than you think!  Beyond the game series, there is much in the way of an Expanded Universe mounting to fill in the setting with all sorts of material.  And I'm gonna cover all I can find of it!

If anyone out there has ideas for variant rules on anything, please feel free to send it all in.  My own stuff is simply variants and other ideas from Bob's, and I hope to see more of his own stuff in time.  Until then, enjoy some samples, hehehe!

UNSC MA5B Assault Rifle, UNSC MA5C Assault Rifle, UNSC MA37 Assault Rifle, UNSC MA5K Carbine, and finally UNSC MA5K Carbine (Variant Rules).  These are variants of the MA5 series of UNSC firearms.  I have also added different rules for Autofire, wanting to try something different than what i had in D6 FIREARMS (D6 Supplements), trying to make something more fitting for the halo games.  Please tell me what you think of it, in comments or email, what have you.

   ENJOY!

Well no avoiding it this week, I suppose I've got to pull my finger out and actually do something on the site, so I've finished off the Freespace weapons I've been converting to D6, and today I've added GTW-66 Maxim, GTW-83 Lamprey, GTW UD-8 Kayser, GTM-11 Infyrno, GTM-13 Helios, GTM-19 Harpoon, GTM-14 Electromagnetic Pulse Advanced, GTM-12 Cyclops, GTW-19 Circe, GTW Akheton SDG, GTM MX-6 Tempest, Mekhu HL-7, GTM-43a Stiletto II, GTW-5 Prometheus (standard) Cannon, GTW-5a Prometheus (retrofit) Cannon, GTM-10 Piranha, GTW ML-70 Morning Star, GTI TAG-B Missile, GTI TAG-A Missile, Subach-Innes HL-7, GTM-55 Trebuchet and GTM-4a Tornado to the Star Wars D/6 Starships Section of the site.
I still need to do some rules to allow the swapping of weapons and missiles in the various GTA, PVA and Shivan vessels (and hell, the equipping of these weapons on other ships). Oh, well, that's for another day. I think next I'm going to have a go at converting Warhammer 40,000 races, weapons and vehicles to D6, which should be interesting.
