        And today as we near completing Ahsoka, I've added Grand Admiral Thrawn (Mitth raw nuruodo) (Chiss Imperial Officer) {as of Ahsoka} to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site. Now this is an update of the version from Rebels, and he's more experienced and talented in various areas that I feel he would have had chance to improve upon while stuck on Peridea. As usual, if anyone has any opinions on this, let me know in the comments, and we can take it from there.

Outlaw Star, 2023 Update

Greetings.

Today I added an update to The Outlaw Star. A ship I added on here a while back, written up from an anime series of the same name. The older write-up I realized later was not very accurate. This one is more so, though if anyone notices something I missed, please let me know in the comments.
The Outlaw Star (HS1 2023 Update)
While the grappler arms and other bits are taken care of with some of the modifications/upgrades I added here over the past few weeks, as well as what is already found in Star Wars D6, from this ship I wrote out the Starship Assault Boarding Tube, thinking it'd be a nice addition to install in someone's hero ship. Furthermore, if anyone were interested in playing a Bioandroid similar to Melfina or Harry McDougal, we now have Bioandroid (Outlaw Star Melfina type). Not sure I'd call it a fully fleshed out species write-up, maybe more like guidelines. But with this, you can make a Bioandroid character that looks like most other species, in or out of Star Wars. While working on it and looking a species stat blocks in my rulebook, I saw and remembered "story factors", so....I had some fun writing some of these for this species, inspired by anime, scifi, comics, and...well, if you know, you know, and if you don't, it's mentioned here to enjoy. Another anime that came to mind while I was writing out the story factors is Armitage Polymatrix, and I think this might work for playing one of those androids too, with a little work from a GM.

What can I say? I love Outlaw Star, even after all this time...

        And another updated character, today I've added Huyang (Droid Lightsaber Instructor) {as of Ahsoka} to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.
        On having a look, Huyang now appears to be a far more powerful character, with a load of Knowledge and Perception Skills, and he's now a skilled pilot as well, so this is perhaps the most radically changed version of a character I've done. He's gone from being a minor character with a very particular skillset which he's talented in, to being an all round hero, with a massive skill set. And Droids usually don't change much.
        So I guess what I'm trying to say is the older version from the Clone Wars era is pretty much redundant, as he will always have had these skills, but we just never saw them demonstrated.

        Crazy busy this past weekend, so I missed the update yesterday and am incredibly late doing one today. So we've got an updated version of Sabine today, based on the older version already on the site, with only a little change to add Force Abilities to her. Anyway, today's updates are Sabine Wren (Mandalorian Jedi Apprentice) {as of Ahsoka}, & Jacen Syndulla (Human/Twi-lek Hybrid Child), both added to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

        Continuing with "Far, Far Away", today I've added Aktropaw (Zabrak Nightsister Grand Mother), Klothow (Zabrak Nightsister Grand Mother), Lakesis (Zabrak Nightsister Grand Mother), & Little Noti (Noti Civilian) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.
        We don't really see the Grand Mothers use particularly specific Nightsister powers, so I've stuck with the abilities we saw Talzin use in The Clone Wars series along with some other Nightsister powers we've seen along the way.

        Okay, today's update is going to be a contraversial one, the Eye of Sion which I've added to the Star Wars D/6 Starships Section of the Site.
        Now I've made a few guesses about this vessel, such as it is likely to have a crew of Mouse Droids and Astromechs beavering away below decks to keep in running, that it is capable of carrying significant number of passengers and cargo independently of the Star Destroyer that it can carry, and that it carries slightly more Fighters and Transports than we saw in the series. But these are all based on my personal assumptions, so let me know what you guys think.

        So took the day off yesterday for personal reasons, but back with a couple of more additions from Ahsoka episode "Fallen Jedi" today, and have added R7 (Carson Tevas Astromech Droid), & Marrok (Humanoid Ex-Inquisitor / Dark Side Warrior) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.
        While Marrok mainly appears in the series to be an ordinary Inquisitor, when killed in this episode he disappears in a burst of green gas, so perhaps he was animated by Nightsister magic? But without more information I can't add that, so for the moment these are his stats are just for a normal living version of the character, perhaps before he was killed and animated!

A Legacy of Starships, Finale

Here are the last of the starships from A Legacy of Starships.

Every time I see these ships, they make mind wander and wonder, and get ideas. One I got to do something with a while back. Here, I took some of these that were named and made "stock" versions of them. One exception was this one though...

...as I looked over the 820, read over its details, I realized it had just enough room to modify and upgrade it into some kind of heavy fighter, assault ship, super fighter....not sure what phrase fits, but I'd love to play a game and make this my starfighter/bomber/hero ship. So I put my thoughts into separate write-up and shared it here to see if anyone would like that too.
Later, I might do some equipment in the Starships D6 Equipment section, of various components from these ships. Some of these write-ups had some notes near the bottom for such things, but I also like having these in lists for buying guides, ya know? We'll see.

A Legacy of Starships, Part 1

Once upon a time in 2001, I came across a magazine. Star Wars Gamer magazine issue #2, published in February 2001. Though I found it not too long after this time as a back issue. I skimmed through it, and found an article that caught my eye, grabbing my attention and not letting it go. "A Legacy of Starships". You see, I love my starships. Love them. And this article? It was my thing. I purchased this mag, looked it over repeatedly, couldn't put it down. My very first D6 stat conversion came from this magazine, converting the YZ-775 transport from early D20 to D6, then modifying it into the Gunstar Nova II. That ship has a troubled history, yet it is a personal favorite and means a lot to me due to how it opened the doorway to me making write-ups, many-many-MANY of which have appeared here on this web site...sight?...site...after making Freddy's acquaintance back in 2008-ish. I am slowly working on remaking that ship, and it will show up here in one form or another some day when it is ready. Until then, I have wanted to convert A Legacy of Starships as a whole for a very long time. The past 22 years, actually. And it was about time I did so. Sorry for that. Better late than never? But my reason is, I wanted to share these ships with the world and hope people get into these ships just like I did. I hope you all love them and find a favorite that becomes your personal hero ship in many games to come as you fly all over the galaxy. I also wanted to get some practice getting back into write-ups and conversions as I finally rebuild the Gunstar Nova II and share it with all of you as well.

        So that's Ahsoka run it's first season, so I can now go back and work my way through the episodes. And without anything I can see to cover from the most recent episode of Young Jedi Adventures "Off the Rails", I'll start that process tomorrow.

        And my review of the season finale of Ahsoka, Ahsoka: Part Eight: The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord. Which was done well, but felt to me to just be stretching out the storyline, as there was only enough story for about half of the episode, with everything else just delaying the inevitable and obvious. That said, it was still very well done, just disappointing to me.
